Meet Geraldo Alicea

  

Geraldo Alicea has served in the House of Representatives since 2007, during which he has focused his energies on local aid and education funding, public safety issues, youth violence prevention programs and other progressive issues. 

A member of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, Geraldo brings over 20 years of public safety work experience to the Legislature. Prior to his election to the House, he served as a probation officer in Worcester Superior Court and as a victim advocate in the Worcester County District Attorney's office. He is also a member of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse and Veterans and Federal Affairs Committees.

Geraldo was born and raised in Southbridge and attended the Southbridge Public Schools. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Westfield State College and a Master's Degree from Anna Maria College. He is a member of Charlton Democratic Town Committee and chairs the Scholarship Committee.

He lives in Charlton with his wife, Rosemarie, and their three young children, Lauren, Michael and Katherine.
